Also one thing I've been thinking about is that if you removed the snare drum from a kit, metalfag drummers might finally learn how to play their instrument. They otherwise just cannot seem to help themselves from idly hitting it regardless of whatever is happening musically, and its impact is too noticeable/strong to be something that might be forgiven.
