The digitized animation already leaves it feeling "off" as a King of the Hill continuation, but at the same time I guess you could see it as thematically consistent with the time-skip introducing a "new era" for the franchise. Like they're adapting with the times, if you will.

Writing might be decent, but we won't know for sure 'til we see the full season.
