The land drops away below you and the rush of air past your ears makes it hard to hear anything as you coax Rascal around towards the south west and home.
Looking towards the east, you can see the grey bulk of the oncoming cold front and you suddenly feel very small as you stretching from horizon to horizon, the size of a mountain range and the cold wind scudding before it already battering your small party.
Fortunately, the winds aren't anything too bad just yet and are actually helping you along your way and cutting down on the amount of effort that Rascal is having to put in as you follow Martha, Holly and Altaria southward, Gareth and Swanna flying beside you and Rascal.
Below you, the dense forest looks like a lush green carpet and in the distance, you can see the gleaming silver bulk of Saltcoast City.
You see wheeling flocks of Wingull nearby out to sea, fishing before the storm blows in and grounds them.
This being your first time actually flying long distance, you were a little nervous about the height, but seeing the land unrolled below you like a map is exhilarating and it's hard to really be scared when you're as hyped up as you are right now.
It's hard not to grin, for the first hour as the forest rolls beneath you, gradually changing from lush rainforest to more arid bushland as you pass over the rolling hills that separate Silveridge and Saltcoast.
You can see the old mining town in the distance, a tidy looking place surrounded by orange scrubland and framed by the vast bulk of the old mine's spoil heap.
You don't need Martha to tell you that you're making good time. You just hope that you can at least get close to you Greenshoot Town before that cold front hits.

>Roll +15, DC 60 (+5 for Rascal being Large, +5 for Martha's coaching +5 for Martha's leading and experience, +5 for riding a tailwind, -5 for Rascal's inexperienced. Overlevel negated due to Rascal respecting Alex.)
