This poster is correct. It's not a health calculator, just an excess fat calculator. BMI doesn't take into account body builders but those really are the only exception because they WANT to have weight... in muscle. They'd be classified as obese if you used a bmi calc but in reality they're shredded. Yes obviously pregnant women would too but that's natural considering you have a 2nd human growing inside of you. It's really just for regular average people.

However, bodybuilders and guys building muscle for the ladies (or men) don't even think about BMI, and they aren't the ones arguing on the internet that BMI isn't real they're just following their diet and routine. They probably don't even step on a scale anymore. It's only overweight people that vehemently try to deny its existence. If BMI was deleted from all science books tomorrow someone would just come up with another way to measure excess fat in the body and then fatties on the internet would try to find reasons why the new method is also "dipshit reductive psuedoscience".
