Idk what frieren you watched, but in the show I watched she was based white elf and her sexuality was heavily implied rather than shown directly, which was rather tasteful. The anime itself also has a very strong anti-immigration rhetoric so I fail to see how “media literacy experts” can claim the title as “their”
