Discords have a different feel to the old teamspeak/ventrilo/mumble days, because there's always the chance of a full power-trip from some egotistical shitsack that ends up causing more problems than it's worth to begin with

I fundamentally have no issue joining a discord for a run of something if it's easier for them to communicate that way
But I don't like that there's a server for everything in the fucking universe, both XIV and not XIV and it shits up my means of finding information
