It's difficult for me to date someone from here because I don't suffer from any mental illness or trauma and can't relate well to their worldview and problems. Regardless of how much of an empath I am and how attentive and sympathetic, we won't be able to establish a true connection and I can't fully support them. I used to believe I could and the difference in experience would benefit each of us personally, expand our worldview, help us grow and elevate our lives, but it was a naive idea rooted in blind optimism; I admit I still have some of it.
