No one is arguing feathered t-rex must be flashier than an ostrich, but we do have large mammal with bright colors. Even with herbivores that should prefer discretion. Plus there can be big color difference between males and females.

At once you reach a certain size, you don't care about stealth, anything with eyes & neuron will recognize you no matter how well you hide, and natural selection can favor a predator that scare smaller predator away from his path.

When they reintroduced wolves at Yellowstone they discovered the entire ecosystem changed, smaller predators were kept in check, big preys stopped eating everything out of fear of straying away...etc
