For context:
>I've played since the second beta, participated in all following that
>Wave/Coop shooters are my favorite genre of videogame by a longshot
>I've got a combined 8k hours in multiple coop shooters, 800h in KF1, 400 in KF2
Killing Floor 3 is, as most people would say, modernised. It's the the usual mechanics that "modern" coop shooters have. Sliding, quirky characters, characters instead of perks, gunsmith and a battle pass, which it of course had since beta.
It's similar to KF2 in structure and enemies, but very different in gameplay, choice and presentation. Basically, if you look at the Killing Floor trilogy, you see 3 vastly different games.
Now I ask you: are you me? If yes, then KF3 is worth every penny. If no, I recommend you wait for at least a year since there are many bugs, some even introduced in the game's release or late betas. For example:
>I currently can't rebind Reload, which I would switch from R to X, neither Switch Mode, from B to M5 or Skip Trader, from Y to F4 as it was in KF2
>using too many map objects for resource gathering can lead to none being given
>hovering over skills causes large size videos to load, if done in succession such as when you're reading through all, your game freezes
>graphics problems it's UE5, looks UE5 and plays UE5 (derogatory)
