Ancient Europe can be compared to modern Southeast Asia.
Southeast Asians are Chinese farmers mixed with Australo-Papuan-Negritos and are generally uglier than East Asians.
But the most attractive SEA are better-looking than the most attractive EA.
They have more genetic diversity, so SEA designers have more material to work with and a greater potential to create attractive people than EA inbreds.
Ancient Europeans were ugly but modern Europeans are more attractive than Arabs and WHGroids. And EHG wuz the designer...
