the fun fact is that a lot of the people that go through this pipeline are literal nobodies whose skill set do not match the claims of their CV
these are people that some interest group has invested money in and created the person and the prestige articially, either by sending them to high class educational institutions (but then only as a marginal participant, like Lex Friedman claims he taught at MIT), or enrichign them using various schemes that involve little effort on their behalf such that their wealth and accomplishments are purely artificially obtained
often these people are already in trouble with the law which makes them totally serviable to whomever has promoted them beyond their capabilties and the reality is that that these people would do antyhing their handlers would tell them because they're well-aware that everything they have can be taken back in a flash because none of it was generated organically
in many cases here the fakeness is found on so trite levels like, most jobs at least formally require the knowledge of one foreign language and most people write down English based on the myth that "everyone knows English", but when you petition them in English you realize that even if they claimed in their resum that they know English fluently, they cannot in fact form a single sentence
these are literal tools of a repressive system and the proverbial useful idiots that you were warned about
