on March 3rd, 1993, my girlfriend of 8 years Jill and I went to sleep in our high-rise apartment in Buckhead

That night, for no reason at all, I had a bizarre extremely realistic dream, in which I was panicked, because I had been chosen to find The comedian John Candy, and "save him from himself"...

which was really really weird, because although I was a big fan of John Candy's, I hadn't thought about him in years, and there was absolutely no reason for him to appear in my dream. I hadn't seen anything about him on television recently before that dream..

It was quite literally "out of the blue"

in the dream, I knew he was killing himself from the excess weight, the food, the gluttony, the drugs.. The entire lifestyle. And for some reason, in my dream I was the one who was supposed to save him.

I even mentioned it to Jill when we woke up the next morning, March 4th 1993

Jim left for work, and later that afternoon I turned on the television

"JOHN CANDY FOUND DEAD"

That's absolutely 100% true. I swear it's true. I had a dream I needed to save John Candy the night before he died
