i was complaining to my mother about feeling awful and she dropped me off on the side of the road like a 10 minute drive back home. said if i was feeling that bad, i could walk back home, and then she drove off
i dont see the logic, i just think she ws trying to prove a point? i dont know, i walked back home. and later on that day, because I was still a kid, i was playing on the steps of our house and my dad goes, 'how you doing, bud?' and i tell him 'Mom left me on the side of the road.' not fully realizing i was getting her in trouble. I remember the exact look on his face. He curled his lips in then licked them as he just stared at me, then he yelled at the top of his lungs, 'WOMAN!', and you know how women do that power walk where their arms are held to their side, head is bowed down, and the walk right past you? that was her. Dad told me to go upstairs and play in my sisters room, which was the furthest room from where they would be. I was still collecting my toys, when I had heard something before I left, but I didn't really pay attention to it.
it wasnt until years later when I realized what i heard was my dad slapping the shit out my mom
