A solo memory I have was playing final fantasy 7 in middle school, and getting depressed when Aerith died.
The thing is the depression didn't end there in the game cause cloud goes into a cripple coma and everything starts falling apart.
I was bummed as fuck to the point where my mom noticed and when my sister called from out of state, she asked "what's wrong with you" and I explained "game I am playing is really sad"

This was a concept they didn't comprehend cause games didn't really have stories or make you "feel sad" at the time, so they all thought I was lying and keeping some horrible secret from them.

No.... the game was just kinda depressing.
