Let's take Russia for example. Does Kremlin have money to sponsor such show and influence to "encourage" creative talent to work on it? Yes, absolutely.
So what's stopping them?
BTW, this show is not for men (although some might enjoy seeing positive male role models who provide/protect their family and are loved and cared for in return). This show is for the young WOMEN who need to see what society expects of them (to find good men, love them, and have families with them).

And that's the biggest problem, IMO. Russia keeps imitating the West instead of doing its own thing. It's always "OUR ANSWER TO AMERICA'S ___XYZ___" instead of "here's our original creation". Very tiresome.
