I'm from San Bernadino. Anecdotally a lot of people don't like to see themselves as part of LA and the Angels were California's team instead of just a specific city's.
Of course there are still Dodger fans here, but there's a lot of Angel fans too. Also the 66ers play here and they have a cool hat.
