I wouldn't call STR overpowered (honestly I would argue WIS is more an issue), but definitely overcentralizing. You definitely feel the lack of options when you dump it more than any other attribute.

As a big fan of 1e Oracle (the class that got me into Pathfinder at all) and a heavy critic of the premaster take on the idea...ehhhhhhhhh, I kinda side with the curbing of the customization. There wasn't much point in using the heavier curses or making narrative sense out of what you were doing. Sure, no point in caring about balance in 1e, you already playing one of the best classes. But there was so many non-interactive or non-interfering curses added, choosing one that hampered you at all was strictly a flavor move as much as running a bad spell list. And personally, it was hard to argue you were any kind of 1e Oracle than just...1e Oracle, least without archetypes.
Remastered 2e Oracle does have a bit of a worst-of-both-worlds issue with still being a bit too generic a caster and lacking the customization in curses and curse effects, but I still think the overall package and strengths outweigh what was lost between the first two ideas. If there was anything that could be changed, I would argue they should have kept the Mystery Benefits from the Premaster Oracle to maintain the flavor and build variety. And that would pretty much fix the last major issue with the chassis as a whole.

I don't get the recent complaints about the difficulty of obtaining Bulwark. Yeah, the level 1 curve from Half-Plate + Armored Skirt to Full-Plate is goofy, but Bulwark is a good, balanced trait. I'm not sure what people are getting hung up about beyond Mighty Bulwark requiring an archetype.
