Yeah genocide in yellow was easily the most satisfying route because it drops all the meta elements UT's Genocide had (Save for one moment in the very end which I still thought was great). It actually takes it rationally and goes "Hey maybe you have a reason for ruthless attacking a group who's entire goal is to gore children and harvest their life energy"
It doesnt neccesarily say you're the good guy in all of it, but it doesnt act like the monsters didnt do anything bad and you're the only villain of the story. They try defending themselves obviously, both literally and morally, but the way I see you're meant to disagree with and challenge them. They didnt write "We only took 5" thinking "The player will look at this and realize how much worse they are", it's a flawed statement being spewed by someone who cant admit their side started the fire about to engulf them completely. The same person who genuinely believes their race is made out of nothing but love and compassion, so they have to be in the right, right?
