Well that would probably explain it. I think it’s normal that white people wouldn’t be hated in Monterrey considering its disproportionate amount of castizos and criollos, not to mention economic and social ties to the United States, as well as the history legacy of federalism and secessionist sentiment amongst the local populace who were often neglected by the Central government as well as being geographically isolated from the population dense southern-central regions centered around Mexico City.
