The book is great. The program is also fine, you're just supposed to hop off it as soon as the noob gains dry up. You might have shit genetics (like me) and it will happen fast as you don't even reach a 2PL8 squat but that's just how it is. By then you can just find a slower program like 5/3/1 or texas method or whatever and spend a lot of time trying different programs, spinning your wheels and learning how to actually eat and what exercises work for you personally. Don't be afraid to take a full week off every 3-4 weeks by the way, shit tends to creep up on you.
