I am aware of the differences in the male and female skeletons anon; also that's not actually what happened I just think the visual of the Lich Girls is really really funny.
The Lich was actually asking for someone to help them form an army, and the person was the Scientist who just made a bunch of robot-girls that look like female versions of the Lich (which is why they don't have a nose hole). His reaction to seeing them is to ask what the fuck he's looking at before using them anyways since he might as well.
Then when they're defeated the Scientist runs off and he tries to follow her but he's caught by the new Bird Girl, trips on a rock and falls into the volcano. They contemplate going after him before he just teleports out.
the one you posted isn't bad at all either though. give that girl a robe and staff and that's a pretty great lich. although what I'd probably do is just have them be an actual female skeleton with a ghostly semi-translucent immaterial form over it, to where you could actually see the skull inside the girl's face.
which this game also did, so I'm set either way.
