Gohan's greatest weaknesses are his complacency and arrogance, but at the same time, that is what keeps him an interesting character that makes people want to root for him. People want to see him grow, learn from his mistakes, overcome his own nature, and rise up in the face of adversity. But that would require Toriyama to write a compelling storyline instead of more shit and diaper jokes.
