Really not sure anon, I supposed maybe it's old, but it could just have a bad infection of some sort. I'm calling it a she but I've no expertise there either, she just seems small.

Cool, that's good to hear, it did seem that she's dealing with it, but her congested nose means even her smell is off ATM, walking through her food to get to the food she can smell was pretty funny. She managed eventually.
My wife's taking her to the rescue now, they reckon we'll get her back in a few weeks, but if she is blind I'm not sure how I feel about turning her loose again.
Dunno, will just think about it later, for now she's happy, and she got a little startled being put into the cat carrier this morning which suggests she's at least felt safe here for the last 2 days :)
