I kind of dismissed the whole "Israel is a terrorist state!" thing as bleeding heart liberal hyperbole (I don't know if I really consider bombing Palestine "terrorism" in the traditional sense) but after reviewing the history of the founding of Israel I realized that it is quite literally a state founded by terrorists. The sixth prime minister, Menachem Begin, was the commander of the Irgun "paramilitary" (terrorist) group guilty of committing some of the most incredibly gruesome atrocities in recorded history.
