They could skip the step entirely and have conveyor belts with actuators to drag the object to the correct belt. Even more simple than a robot. Why even bother with these roundabout designs? Just get to the point and design, (grab object, sort object, and move object) oh wait its called an arm and auto industry already has it. equally it would be even cheaper scaled down for these light weight boxes. but nope gotta support the EV industry by buying battery powered walking fire hazards in a warehouse of flammable materials notably cardboard.
