I reread the ask the developer for Engage and I'm surprised shitposters didn't bring some of this up. Here's some good material.

So they are aware the GBA had great animations which is cool. I agree the animations are cool. But the characters use the SAME ANIMATIONS because they spend all the time transformed. What the fuck were they doing? That's like if every GBA character was a paladin over half the time. And they were aware that the animations of the game are good.

If you can't get a consistent cast after 5 revisions, it's a developer problem. I feel even more strongly that she shouldn't be blamed.
