When I tried to complete my STEM degree, my alcoholic father made me homeless about half a dozen times, to force me to drop out. It worked. I don't appreciate it. My wealthy mother who showered my younger sibling in hundreds of thousands of dollars in gifts, refused to buy me even a cheap $1k laptop, to use to do uni work. I attended lectures with a pencil and paper like it was the 1950s. I only had access to library computers.
