Reframe the question - what is the worst that can happen if you just keep walking and do nothing? You lose some status in front of your gf (because that's the only reason men go into fights in the first place)? If your birthing hole is irritated by this then it's her problem not yours. Every other alternative is bad. If you just verbally attack him, he'll laugh (as he knows you won't do shit) and it will make you look way more pathetic. If you attack him physically, all sorts of things could happen that are horrible (he has a knife and injures you badly, his buddy will jump and wreck you, the authorities will prosecute you not him etc.). So I think keep walking is the correct decision.
