Okay, he didn't "suck," I was just being inflammatory. However, I still don't like his early art for a few reasons:
>The poses are too dynamic to be base sprites.
>He was really bad at drawing feet, take a look at Tsurugi, for example.
>Despite the designs not being very complex, he still added too much detail, usually to the clothes, leading to them looking too crumpled.
>There are straight-up just some fuck ups, like Karin's breasts being in a vacuum, apparently.
> The way he drew hair made it look both thin and greasy at the same time, somehow.
I actually think he improved a lot later. Bunny Akane is still the most SEX design in the game.
Obviously this is all simply my opinion.
