i think this path nonsense is a boring topic.
on windows nobody cares whats in C:/system or whatever, because you never have to. binaries "just work", regardless of windows version (within reason), etc.
on linux, you have to pay attention to the FHS, you dont have a choice, because no ABI stability. but instead of fixing this issue, lintards pride themselves on memorizing the libc versions, libc symlinking structure, LD_PRELOAD env var, and other inane bits and bobs which would never be neccesary if ABI stability was enforced.
the reality is, the average windows user literally never pokes around anyhwere other than C:\Users\<username>, because they never have ot.
