I may be wrong here, but I think people are getting the shape of the Knight's helmet wrong.

It's not just a plain diamond. There's little spikey bits in the side profile we can see. I think it's like pic related: a star/diamond shaped visor over a more rounded helmet. We just can't see the seam because the details inside the knight's silhouette blend together.
