You asked those three if they knew what the wand was all about, and they responded by saying that it made magic stronger and had some useful spells, that being the extent of their knowledge of the item. They didn't seem to be lying.
After taking Mel and Cattleya to the side to speak with you in private, you spoke with your lanky beguiler about if they were being honest or not. Here you confirmed that they didn't know much about the magic wand they had. After you told them both what your Appraisal said about the item, they both frowned.
"Fookin hell, that could've ended a lot worse." Cattleya meowed.
"But everything seems to have gone our way, so..." Mel agreed, muttering that to herself. She turned to you. "I guess all's well that end's well, right? Um, Master, you think it would be smart to tell them what it's about?"
You considered it.
>"Yeah, we'll tell them they almost got scammed into becoming living time bombs."
>"No. I mean, it's not like they're gonna change their ways because of it or something."

As for the Drag On Gang, you decided too...
>Just let them go. They might stir a bit of chaos with Rostchilde's hotels.
>Beat them up a little, drill it into their heads that they shouldn't mess with you, then send them away. They weren't really worth your time.
>Take them to the police. 'Disturbing the peace' and/or 'attempted arson' should be enough to land them in jail for at least a week.

And as for what you planned on doing after...
>You'd go back to the castle. It was late enough, and you didn't want to wake up tired tomorrow.
>You'd keep on looking around, maybe follow one of the leads or try to search for one of Rostchilde's inner circle. (Which one?)
