You are top Democrat political strategist charged with saving the party. Currently:
>You have a 19% approval rating as a party
>The Supreme Court will soon discuss the legality of Race-Based districting. If Outlawed the Democrats will lose (and Republicans gain) 25 house seats or more, killing the Democrat's chances in the house
>Texas Ohio Floria and other Republican states are currently redistricting before the 2026 midterms, giving themselves even more seats. You aren't allowed to gerrymander your bluestates because they're already gerrymandered to hell, you can at max get 1-3 more seats if you try really hard
>Vance is leading to win the 2028 election and you have no party leader or frontrunner at all above 20% (first time in decades)
>The 2030 cenus is coming, in which California, New York, and other blue states will lose many seats while many Red states will gain
>Your party is split between progressive extremists and moderates and the progressives are winning, and the people want the progressives to be even more extreme.
>There's no end in sight for the ICE deportations.

Democrats district based on race the most. Obviously blacks and hispanics vote for Democrats way more.
If the Supreme Court removes this then they'll be forced to district properly. Doing so would effectively secure a Strong Republican house majority.
Democrats would need to gerrymander hard in their own states and have to flip the new deep red states to Democrat (impossible) for even a chance to win again
