The issue is that Genshin has abilities specifically designed to make moving around the overworld fun. There's nothing like that in ZZZ, the world isn't fun to interact with and there is no "movement tech" outside of sprinting. If they want to make the areas fun they should put in a daily superboss that drops a ton of resource materials. Play to the game's strength of having a good combat system.
