So, only Gundam I've watched is GWitch so maybe stuff went over my head but I know general Gundam stuff to appreciate I'd say 60-70% of the call backs so given that I don't know the full story/timeline of the previous UC Gundam(s), I enjoyed this.
Evangelion is my favourite series, you can really tell Anno had a blast working on this even if it was a bit on the nose with GquuuuuuX going Berserk and Shuji's and Machu's encounter almost mirroring Kaworu and Shinji's but that was cool to me. I think last episode when shit went down with the Kira Kira is some of the craziest goosebumps I've had watching an anime
I do think it would've benefitted more from being 24ep rather than 12 but it is what it is. My main complaint is Nyaan just kinda felt... left out and unsatisfying, when I really like her character design
So, where do I go from here? The original Mobile Suit Gundam?
