Phainon's story in particular is pretty much a not-so-subtle allegory for gay conversion therapy. His type is supposedly ugly musclepigs but despite that he eventually falls for his true love Stelle who is nothing like his alleged type. This just proves that being gay is nothing more than a phase, and that every single flaming faggot becomes straight after finding the right woman.
