i think you meant "MDF"

also MDF is ~10x more expensive than osb
aaand theres also plywood
whose properties are quite different from MDF
but youre right
MDF sucks balls as building material
usually its either pkywood or OSB that gets used
MDF is basically wood powder glued/compressed toegether so it has really bad mechanical properties
