But one core facet of Hinduism is the absolute right to decide your own spiritual path and the duty not to mess with others' paths. So even nutters who pray to the Trump deity they've constructed in their yard are, strictly speaking, Hindu if they say they are and everyone else thinks they're nuts but they're allowed to believe what they want. Until, as in this case, Trump caught covid, this guy stopped eating in grief and then he died. True fucking story.
