I am 36 and do not own my own home.
I bought 12 condemned houses at a tax sale in 2013 for $75k but I flipped them all.
I was going to be a landlord fag but I grew up poor so I would've let everything slide. I built a little appraisal business in 2014 instead but that collapsed when mortgage rates went to 9% after COVID.
Too many rug pulls. Maybe I grew up too poor and didn’t learn enough about being an asshole but I’m happy with my wife and kids in my apartment.
It’s funny because my work revolves entirely around other people buying or refinancing homes and it’s just distasteful to me now. The constant panic cycle that is buying and selling a home.
