I'm thinking that they shouldn't even have revealed that the Klunk oil massage/Wa movie thing was even possible and then slowly revealed it later on. Then it would have been "great addition" > "expected jewiness to milk your bucks" instead of "jewy system to milk your bucks". It's the same thing in the end, but perception is everything when it comes to marketing. Like, if they had just said "there are technical challenges we need to overcome before we can implement this" and then sat on their asses for 2 months to let the good gossip roll first, you'd have a stable base of supporters who might actually have gone for it. Now you're just uprooting anyone who might like it before they can even stay long enough to care.
