Now, seriously, he received your message in disbelief and confusion and is still uncertain how to respond to that because he knows that any kind of response is already a losing battle he's not willing to engage and whatever you said there made he feel played and *if* big emphasis here, if he responds, he might not act in sincerity but desire to manipulate or top you so to speak.

With the number of Kings here, I think there are also other people involved; perhaps he consulted other men about this to form an opinion or get some advice on how to react. I have no idea what you said, but that might have sounded unstable from your part. You wanted to appear in control, but the opposite happened. You didn't feel like you owned the situation, but expected more than what he could realistically offer to you. And now everything is a mess, and you're feeding your mind with worries and anxiety unnecessarily; you are the one harming yourself over this.

There's nothing to be done here *as of now* than drop the towel. Your peace of mind doesn't come from his response but your own grounding and healing by detaching from the situation and any possible outcome.
