Despite being mainly a Nintendo company, Konami made better games on the MD/Genesis than on SNES.

Vampire Killer plays really smooth, without too much bullshit, has awesome graphics, the best controls of any Castlevania, plus the best character (the guy with the halberd, fuck the gay whip)

Contra Hard Corps is also amazing. A worthy contender against Gunstar Heroes. Only thing lacking is a mode with all routes combined.

Rocket Knight Adventures was a bit too easy but also one of the best 16 bit platformers.

Konami on SNES kinda sucks in comparison. They really reached their peak on the Seha console.
