I'm discussing the Alvarado incident specifically, looking at the mugshots they had a lot of trans and women involved, the operation was also very glowy, according to the getaway driver none of them really knew each other well and had variously been given lists of equipment to buy and a place to meet, most of them probably aren't very skilled with guns so buying the wrong ammo or assuming they could learn "on the job" is very possible. Given that we're looking at a dozen people with body armor, long guns, and a pretty good ambush plan in concept if not execution, it's pretty lucky these people were incredibly incompetent or this could have been a pretty dangerous attack.

I think what we can take from it is that they've got access to a pool of people with lethal intent, but the leap from marching around and burning shops to an actual gun fight is proving too far. Eventually whoever is doing this will assemble a capable cell though and then we'll get some Weather Underground type shit.
