Relationships take work and effort, even parasocial 1sided vtuber ones. If you are lucky enough to find something that people like, don't even stop doing it for them. Nerissa stopped singing.
On my grandparent's 50th wedding anniversary, my grandmother sang for my grandfather. She used to be an opera singer.
Thing is, she was 75 and she sounded like shit. By 75 your voice has changed, you don't have the breath control, the stamina, your voice cracks. It was awful.
But my grandfather sat there beaming, the widest smile on his face I had ever seen, he looked like the happiest and luckiest man alive. Because he loved my grandmother and he loved her singing, even if it wasn't perfect, even if it wasn't as good as it used to be, even if it was fucking BAD, which it was at that point.
Fauna and Ame proved that if people love you, they'll listen to your singing, even if it's terrible. They'll clamor for it, they'll beg for it, because it's what they love about you. Not the only thing but singing is very emotional and people feel connected by music.
Nerissa is a fantastic singer who doesn't want to sing. I don't care what her brainrot is, if she's scared of mean comments, or if she personally can't stand being less than perfect, or if she's afraid of losing her voice due to some freak strain during karaoke, she can afford to sing more often than she does. In fact she can't afford not to because she's losing people fast. It will not fix all her problems by far, but it would be something at least.
