See, my argument about this is the following:

Japan catters to western tastes not out of any political motivation, even when they hire diversity consultants, it's not like the 60 year old shareholders in Tokyo's skyscrapers give a shit about that, the only reason they do it is for the chase of money, they thought making a game be more accessible, have a more wide appeal, be more easy to get into, more "streamlined" and "smooth" would give them more money, so that's what they pursued.

It's also the same reason performance in games sucks nowadays, when you watch a game's trailer, or see screenshots, do you see a framerate? Do you measure the performance? No, they only try to give the game as much graphical fidelity to wow you in trailers where the game is running on a NASA computer, and when the game comes out and not even a PS5 can have stable 30fps then who cares, you already bought it loser lmao they got your money.

The only thing that matters to them is to seem appealing on the surface level, the value of a properly made game, of a good reputation, of being loyal to a fanbase and game design principles... they don't see it.

Capcom thinks pandering to the west is what made the game sell, not the insanely good reputation they got from MHWorld.
