"What do you mean?" You asked her to elaborate.

"Perhaps I said that in too poetic a way." Ayane remained composed. "It's as though some disease had been cured, or having a limb that was once numb and paralyzed come back to life."

There was definitely an ingredient none of you knew about when it came to getting a kitsune a tail. But you felt like you were one step closer to solving this.

"So, Master," Herta grinned, "You like Ayane's tails, huh?"

"They're soft and fluffy, yes." You said with confidence. Ayane seemed proud of herself at your comment.

"I bet I could make you something nice with all those hairs she sheds~" Herta suggested. "Maybe a shirt or some boxers, Master~? You could have a part of her to wear the whole day and night~"

Ayane paled, guarding her tails behind herself.

"..." You frowned and looked at your goddess with some concern. "Herta, that's sort of..."

"Eh, what's wrong?" Your goddess was oblivious to why you and Ayane were both unnerved.

"Master," Ayane hid herself behind you as she kept a wary eye on Herta. "May I request that I personally dispose of any hair I shed?"

"You may." You granted that much.

More was discussed, but things mostly devolved into smalltalk. Eventually the three of you parted ways, with Herta needing sleep and Ayane needing to practice her magic.

And you were left alone with the letters Eulia brought.

Two of them stood out to you; an official note from the embassy of Elfalior, from Centria, and letter with no name and from an unknown source.

The first went as followed:

To the Savant John Doe,

We salute you in the name of his Holiness, King Aldaron II, who rules in the name of the gods from the elfland forests...

It had a very serious tone to it, demanding that you come to the embassy in Centria as soon as possible, for this was an urgent matter. They wouldn't specify what exactly was so urgent.

The second letter apparently had a complex enchantment placed on it that kept anyone that wasn't a Savant named John Doe from opening it. The envelope wasn't marked with any name, but the letter itself made it clear that this was from Aila.
