Of all the members of a classic 4-piece rock band, right after the actual songwriting, I've always felt the singer has the most influence on the overall feeling that the group evokes in its listener. So much of what I love in music is because of this great man. There were only but a handful of singers who came before Ozzy that had a role in setting the standard for what hard rock/heavy metal vocals were to sound like, he was the one who blazed that trail.

I can't remember where but in some video I saw a young Indian kid say, "Pop is a type of music for weak and fickle people, I can't listen to that. I need my music to be strong."
