"One of them, at least." He replied. "The founder of the Thieves' Guild was once known as 'The Bandit King'. He built the guild as a haven for those with darker classes— thieves, beguilers, assassins, rogues, and the like." Justus explained. "Whatever good intentions he had, the organization became a hive for scum and villainy soon after his death. To this day long is its shadow, and deep are its roots. You might find its influence remains still, and causes people to look into continuing his works, become twisted in the process." He spoke like he had experience opposing that guild.
"Thank you for the advice." You told him. "Would you care to come in? Make yourself comfortable, though there isn't much, since I did just buy the place."
"No, thank you." Justus declined. "I am used to feeling uncomfortable. Nonetheless I appreciate the offer, however, and I must take my leave soon."
"Speaking of offers, you mentioned something about an offer?" Ruby said with that silky voice of hers.
"Indeed." He said to her, then turned once more to you. "I shall lend both some Knights, both by class and by appointment, to assist your endeavors in the plaza, should you wish for them."
You considered his offer.
>"Thank you, but I'll have to decline." You're pretty sure you could do this by yourself.
>"Alright. When will they be there?" Having them collaborate with you might allow you to become an honorary Centrian Knight, while also keeping crime down.
>"I'll get back to you in a few days." You wanted to see what the full scope of what was going on was first before making any decisions. Though your first impressions of the plaza weren't amazing.
>(Write-in)
At your response, Justus wished you well and excused himself, the other Knights followed him shortly after.
"Master, you think this was the right choice?" Mel asked.
"Of course it was the right choice," Ruby said, almost offended. "You should have more faith in Master's actions."
"Well said." Gerty added. It was rare to find both Ruby and Gerty on the same page, but their devotion for you was a common trend. "Our faith in Master's will should not be shaken."
"Ah, I mean, I do trust Master!" Mel said, flustered. She turned to you. "Master, you know I always rely on you!"
"Don't worry, Mel. I know you do." You reassured your beguiler. "I'm sure everything will be alright." This seemed to calm down her nerves, and you could tell she was at ease as she blushed when staring at you.
"Master!" Herta approached you. The goddess clearly came out of the basement, grease and dirt on her body providing evidence of the fact. "I got most of the utilities up and running." She sighed happily. "To think, Master is forcing such an important goddess like myself to do hard labor... so cruel~"
"Don't think your job is done yet," You grabbed her possessively, "You'll keep working for me like the simple bitch you are."
That seemed to get her all fired up. She went back to fixing anything in the house that needed it.
