Isn't it interesting that the United States has no military bases in Israel?

They are supposed to be our "greatest ally"--why wouldn't they trust our troops to be in their country?

Wouldn't they want U.S. troops there to defend them in case of attack? It's not like they aren't surrounded by hostile powers.

Could it be that Israel doesn't want U S. bases troops on their territory because it would be a violation of their sovereignty?

What does this say about all the countries that do host U.S. bases?
