... Excuse me why is this even named Silent Hill instead of being a new IP? Would probably have more success that way. If I were looking at this like a new franchise called "Born in Blood", "Nightmare Evil" or "Lethal Frame" I'd be interested and eager to try it, but it falls flat when you compare it to everything existing about SH. It has no connection whatsoever to the original entries so it was easier to just call it a new Konami IP than to try shoehorning it as part of SH.

Please tell me the meltdown was glorious, I can't cope with this. I want other games to get a soulslike such as Digimon or Metroid, BUT WHY THE FUCK THE PSYCHOLOGICAL HORROR FRANCHISE? I wanted to see how they'd solve the puzzle of bringing back the horror from sh1 to a modern gaming era in which horror only means OtS shooters or stealthslop, especially since the protagonist was a highschool girl and it's written by Ryukishi who does horror novels so of course I didn't expect much fighting in the game AND THEY MAKE IT A FUCKING SOULSLIKE. JESUS CHRIST. Silent Hill won't revive until we get neural technology to outright cause us mental shock and nightmares while we play
